Juventus have now officially lost two of their star midfielders in Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal. The Meastro completed his move to MLS side NYCFC while Bayern Munich bought El Guerrero for €37M + €3M in bonuses. Juve are looking to add an attacking playmaker with Schalke’s Julian Draxler being the top target and a left back with Alex Sandro, Guilherme Siqueira and Layvin Kurzawa being considered. Rumors of Paul Pogba leaving have also slowed down quite a bit, while Leonardo Bonucci and Claudio Marchisio have both extended their contracts until 2020. The Bianconeri also sold Angelo Ogbonna to West Ham for €11M. Meanwhile, both Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini picked up slight injuries and will miss the SuperCoppa against Lazio on August 8.
Roma signed Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny on loan, while Mohamed Salah completed his medical and his move should be made official soon. Milan continues to strongly pursue Roma’s young center back Alessio Romagnoli, while the Giallorossi are looking to sign a left back. Roma are also still trying to find an agreement with Manchester City for striker Edin Dzeko. Midfielder Radja Nainggolan signed a contract extension until 2020. Mattia Destro still seems set to leave the club but hasn’t found a new desitination as of yet. Roma also loaned out Daniele Verde to newly-promoted Frosinone.
Lazio signed Ricardo Kishna from Ajax for a reported fee of €4M and also seem very close to signing Genk’s Sergej Milinković-Savić. Captain Stefano Mauri left the club after 9 years as his contract expired, while they also sold Luis Pedro Cavanda to Trabzonspor. Gianluca Di Marzio reported about a month ago that Manchester United were interested in De Vrij and Felipe Anderson but Lazio do not want to sell them. Coach Stefano Pioli extended his contract until 2017.
Fiorentina sold Stevan Savic to Atletico Madrid and in return received midfielder Mario Suarez + cash. Turkish club Besiktas signed Mario Gomez from La Viola. Talented youngster Federico Bernardeschi extended his contract with the club until 2019. La Viola also signed RB Gilberto from Botafogo. After paying Chelsea €1M to extend Mohamed Salah’s loan, the Egyptian forced his way out of the Florentine club and Fiorentina & Chelsea seem set for a legal battle unless they reach a gentlemen’s agreement.
Napoli officially signed midfielder Allan from Udinese, with Miguel Britos heading to Watford. They also just signed defender Vlad Chiriches from Tottenham. The Neapolitan side had an offer for Alessio Romagnoli rejected by Roma and are now trying for Barcelona’s Marc Bartra. Gonzalo Higuain seems set to stay at the club along with a contract extension being discussed. Napoli sold Walter Gargano to Mexican side Monterrey. They’re also looking for an outside back with Empoli’s Elseid Hysaj and Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko being the top targets.
Inter will officially announce the signing of Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City very shortly after he completed his medical. Inter also officially signed Miranda from Atletico Madrid, Jeison Murillo from Granda, Martin Montoya from Barcelona and Jonathan Biabany on a free transfer. Captain Andrea Ranocchia signed a contract extension until 2019. With Xherdan Shaqiri seemly set to leave after just 6 months, Inter are close to Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perisic. Felipe Melo has announced he will leave Galatasary this summer and the midfielder has been heavily linked to the Nerazzurri. Gianluca Di Marzio reported today that Inter are interested in Domenico Criscito as Zenit want a straight sale for €15M. Manchester City's Clichy is an alternative option.
Milan sold Stephan El Shaarawy to Monaco for around €16-18M, Adil Rami to Sevilla for €3M and Michelangelo Albertazzi to Hellas Verona. They also loaned out GK Gabriel to Napoli. Milan also continues to pursue Alessio Romagnoli and Axel Witsel. A Zlatan Ibrahimovic return still seem to remain a possibility for the Rossoneri.
